i m a guy and my hair is 14 inches long when wet and when dry its 10 inches and when i get out of the shower my shortest hair is to my chin and i have blonde and wavy hair and i dont want to cut it. i m not a hippie. i m down to earth i need reasons to show my mom why i shouldnt cut it

its honestly hard to say. I mean some guys long hair looks good ....but just the other day we saw some guy and for some reason the way he was dressed and all just made him look like a person lost from the 80's rocker age .

My hubby looked awesome when I met him with long hair and a goatee ( okay I love men with goatees ) lol

But since we have kids and a family he cut it ....If yuo like it ...you know what leave it alone !!!!

if its a really noticable diffrence, i think you should cut it. or you can put some of the longer bangs over to the shorter ones. it'll just blend in.

You can't make it longer for sure. Call up a friend or someone you know who you really like their hair. Ask them who does it and then go to them to get it fixed. Don't do this mall run in and out thing. Find someone that gets to know your hair and you and stay with them. It doesn't cost anymore.

Call the salon and tell them your situation. Usually they'll have no problem with it. Otherwise, you'll just have to wait for your bangs to grow out. Some ways to cover it are combing your longer bangs over your shorter ones, or tease your bangs up and wear a pomp for awhile.

well i had the same probl;em and luckily my shortest ones were in right by my face. i suggest going to a DIFFERENT place... one w/ a good reputation... perahaps one recomended by a friend w/ a great haircut and ask the stylist to cut some other bangs to where they angle down for a front layered look. i did that and mine grew out so pretty... i am almost glad for the mistake the first lady made!! :)

I have been a hairdresser for 25 years. When you pay for a service you expect to get what you pay for . I think you need to return to where you got your hair cut and tell them you are not pleased. If you do that they my learn to listen to what people have to say.What THEY want no what the hairdresser wants.You are paying them.

I would try to disguise it until it gets a little longer (a couple of weeks or so) then I would even them out. You can disguise it by wearing your hair on the opposite side so the longer ones cover the shorter ones. Try it an see if it works. It just depends on how short they are. good luck

I am a 16 yr. old male that used to have long hair until a week ago when my little brother cut most of my hair off while I was sleeping (needless to say im real pi**ed about it). My hair right now kind of looks like a normal short haircut and no hair length at all in the back. My hair looks very "choppy" in the back because the way my brother cut my hair...Anyway...My question is, if I want to grow it long again, (in the back and on the sides), should I let it grow out the way it is even with the "chops", or should I go to the barber and get the chops evened out so it will grow evenly? Information and advice is greatly appreciated.

Hello. First of all I'm very sorry about what your brother did. I would have to say that at your age the long hair looks very good and with the additional information I would have to say to let it grow, but in the mean while try to do the best with your hair, while its still growing try new cuts and looks. Eventually it will grow back, and a tip I could give you and believe me it works, is to trim it often and when ever you take a shower take a little bit more time massaging it, so it could grow faster.

heyy this website is quite good becuase it gives you different general ideas for different face shapes, so once you determined the shape of your face you can have an idea of what will suit you!

I would also recomend picking somebody famous such as ashlee simpson and searching them on google images for hairstyles. I would pick someone that you think has similar hair to you (thick/thin , wavy/straight/curly) and you can see more styles that could work for you

I like to go to the nice hair salons. The ones where you get washed by one person after you discuss the ideas with your hairstylist. They usually have a portfolio chalked full of great ideas. They will know what looks good with your face shape.

go to the heair salon, and ask them to cut it, and even it out. in the time while you are waiting, you can buy some shampoos that help hair grow faster.

Sadly you probably would just have to wait it out. Massaging your head frequently is supposed to help circulate blood flow in your scalp which helps with growing hair. For the short hair to grow would probably take a while but you could cut all of your hair the same length so that when it grows everything rows at a nice even length.

From experience, because I have thick hair, I wouldn't do it. Not if you're not using a flat iron.

If you are using a flat iron, then I would reccomend layers by far.

I agree with the person above me. Watch out, because if you cut it too short, and it really is that thick, you might end up with a triangle-thing going on. If you're really set on it, have it one length with long layers, and be prepared to do a lot of straightening.

I just got a hair cut, but it ended up being too short. I wanted it to end below my chin but it ended up at my jawline, which is pretty much a disaster because I have a square face. So I'm trying to figure out a way to deal with it for a couple months until it grows out again.

I've already discovered that wearing a headband to hold it back works fairly well, but since my hair is very straight (I am Asian) it makes me look like I'm 12 years old. Oval is ideal in my world that is hair! You can go for any look pretty much and it would look great, but the only way to know is to try. Get it chopped and see how nice it looks on you(remember it'll grow back).

I've been dying my hair strawberry reds and light auburns for a pretty long time, about a month between colorings, and a few weeks ago I traded crimson for raven. I've got very pale skin and green eyes, and at first I really liked the Black/White contrast. But with my new dishwater-blonde roots coming through, I've gotten a bit tired of it.

I know bleach and color removers are very damaging to your hair, and that I should have it done professionally-- But I'm completely uncomfortable going to the salon for this, and it won't be an option.

I've heard that color removers turn it a mossy green, and you've got to wait a day before you can cover it. (Plus you'll need a blonde toner before color?) And bleaching will turn a rusty ginger color. What technique should I use?? Please, help me.. step-by-step instructions?

Well the only thing you can do is wait for it to grow out, or bleach/color correct it. Go to Sally Beauty and buy a box of color remover. This is going to leave the hair an orange color. Wait a day after you do this so your scalp can relax. If you want a lighter color, try one with a blue/violet base which will counteract the orange left behind. Get a trim, because there will probably be some breakage.

Long hair with a little bit of character to it. If you've had it straight for too long, try making it wavy/perm-like. If you've had it curly for too long, make it straight. It's all about change ... and as for makeup, definitely not too much. Bring out your eyes, have a beaming smile and just have a don't care attitude. And with this, dress in a way that shows a little bit of your midriff when you stretch a little (like reaching for a jar or bending down or something). Wear good perfume. Fake tans are THE worst and make any female look much less attractive, no matter what the tanning salons tell you. All they do is scream "NOTICE ME" and tell guys that you are, well...insecure.

I would encourage you to go to a hair salon and look at their hairstyle books...and discuss the ones you like with a hair dresser.

I personally prefer long hair on women however some are very attractive with short hair. If you can tan in a booth, a little color won't hurt but I have seen older women who tan in booths all the time and they look about ten years older than they really are. Make sure you do a little research on tanning and sunbathing before jumping into something that might damage your skin in the future.

I think long hair is more attractive and believe it gives some insight as to the women, like she takes the time and effort to look good and is not lazy. I have always considered short hair a sign of laziness. I like natural no make up, and consider women with very white skin to be voluptuous. This is all just opinion and taste though, I have always catagorized women 2 way's a women that dresses for women and a women that dresses for men. Women that dress for women always call women that dress for men slutty which is not true, and usualy comes from women that have no desire to draw attention to themselves and forget how they use to dress and wear there hair. I can't tell you whether the cut is "wrong" because I have not seen it yet. Most of the time when haircuts go bad in the salon it's because of miscommunication. Make sure you are specific in telling them what you want, pictures help a lot too. I would have to see your haircut before I can tell you whether or not people will laugh at you and if its fixable.

if it was curly or wavy i suggest a medium edgy angled cut

also it could also help if we knew your face shape

School uniform question earlier I answered i was for it. But in our district no boy can have hair that touches his collar. I say I'd sue any principal that suspended my son for long hair. If boys have to have short hair I feel it's only fair that girls have to have long hair as short hair is reserved for boys.

Very cool style! I wish my hair was semi-straight to do that. Lucky! I'm not a stylist or anything but it looks like there shouldn't be any problem with you getting that look. Only thing I do recommend is going to a professional to get it done, of course. Don't be afraid to ask them questions before and be sure to tell them if there is something you don't like about the end result. They should be concerned about how happy you are with the cut before you walk out the door. That way they won't charge you for any extra fixin's to finish the job right.

The shorter you go the more noticeable it's going to be. I would leave it a little longer like how you have it and just get it trimmed with scissors. Try Nioxin shampoo/conditioner for thinning hair. You won't notice it as much if you do.

Ok my brother is going to have a haircut right and he is planning to cut it short but not too short?

Well I'm assuming he might look like Terrance Howard "the actor from Crash" when he combs it back. I think thats hot....He should try to maintain his naturla thick and curly hair texture..which is very hott...

So, here is how you do it...You have to train the hair...and the hair only can be tamed when it is very short. So he will have to get a low cut...Now once it is shorter, he can brush it foward in the front, brush the sides down and the back...back...hehe

As the hair grows, it will grow in the direction that it is brushed...he should also get a du-rag or wave cap to keep the hair in place at night...and using some wave promoting pomade will help the style also ;0)...

If he does not know how to put on a du-rag, there are tons of youtube instructional videos :0)

basically all you need to do is go to photobucket and type in "scene hair" and you will get sooo many pictures.

Do guys really care whether a chicks hair is long or short?

I am thinking about cutting my hair off. I like it long but it is a hassle to deal with. I am not going barely there hair but a nice bob hair cut with layers and highlights.

Do guys really care or should I just do what I want.
