Don't cut your hair just because your friends want you to! More than likely they are jealous! If you like your hair the way it is, keep it that way. It sounds like you have the kind of hair that most women (and some men!) would kill for. So, don't change is just to appease your friends.

I liked Pantene's original pomade but it seems to have been re-formulated as Texturize Texture %26amp; Shine Defining Pomade. I haven't tried this new version but Pantene is so reasonably priced, it's worth a try.
Sometimes I just run a tiny drop of 100% jojoba oil through my hair for a little definition %26amp; shine. It's a good all day conditioner %26amp; washes out easily.

Yeah its very normal. Every persons hair grows at a different rate, whether it be fast or slow. Cut it a little shorter than you like, and as it grows back out, you will like it much better.

Its a bald fade. It goes from bald, (no clipper guard) to probably about 1/8-1/4 inch at the top. A barber would be able to do this easily as would any hairstylist who is worth a hill of beans!

In the past when I have listened to other people instead of listening to my heart when it comes to a personal decision like getting my hair cut, I have just ended up unhappy and dissapointed that I didnt do what I wanted to do. If you have chubby cheeks don't get a bob - they look best on skinny faced people. Look for something more flattering.
i personally think you should get it cut the way your mom likes it. i once tried the haircut you like and it is so frustrating because you have to straighten it and then get the ends cut so it would look even and if you dont then it will look very very bad. but also you could try the haircut your mom likes than after a while the one you like, that way you both will be happy
i think it's really cool that you've given your hair to locks of love and your mom should be proud of you. you should do what you want with your hair. bobs are quite cute, but it sounds like you have curly hair, so you would have to make a commitment to straightening it almost every day, which can be hard to keep up. i love the style, though!

Her hair is now naturally really really wavy whereas before it just sort of lay there with a bit of a crimp.

layers do help, but there are many different types of layers. for the best results, you should consult your hair stylist. tell him/her your situation and explain that you were wondering what kind of layers would give your hair more volume.
as for the curling, when you do get your hair layered, i would reccomend buying a hair dryer that has a diffuser attachment. when your hair is still damp, scrunch your hair with a curling serum or gel and diffuse your hair. it gets my (straight) hair curly or wavy everytime.

Hi Everyone! I am a 29 yr. old female (brown skinned and have dark hair- Pakistani/Indian) with thinning hair on top. If I part my hair in the middle, it is VERY visible. I normally tease my hair on top, bunch it together %26amp; clip it. That way you can't see my scalp. Sick of my long hair (years with this style), it's to my bra strap. It is layered. My face is round %26amp; I have a widow's peak. I am trying to not blow try my hair %26amp; just let it stay wavy. My hair is very dry at the ends. Most of the time I am just accepting of it all and get on with it but some days- well, it's not easy for a woman to suffer hair loss (I can't imagine it's easy for a man either). I want a shorter hair cut- something that would suit my round face %26amp; that would be able to minimize hair loss. And of course, not show my scalp. Any ideas? Help?! I do not have any perfect answer but as a licensed beautician I would suggest a short cut for the top and always part to the side or better yet no part. If you can find a style with no part it may help to give the appearence of more hair. Shorter is always better for thin hair. Whatever you do stay away from heavy conditioners and styling products.
You can find natural herbs that may help with the thinning and growth. Usually in capsule form or do what I do and grow your own. Check your local health food store. I use a shampoo with all natural ingredients and it seems to help me maintain healthier looking hair. It cost more but I like the natural products.

cut it shorter about an inch below your shoulder, get angles, and possibly layers, and put in a clip above your scalp, or if your more of a tomboy, wear a hat, if you don't want a baseball hat, just wear something cute
That sounds really tough:( Maybe you could get a fringe cut in to hide your hairline at your forehead, and a half-ponytail would help to cover your scalp. For something shorter you could maybe have a bob with a side parting - with your hair parted where there's more hair, rather than bang on top.
If it gets worse you can always resort to extensions, they can do wonderful things with hairpieces these days. Don't despair, there's always a way!:)

I think maybe you're ready for a new look all around. Don't go blonde though. It wouldn't look right with your skin tone. Just shave off the beard, cut the hair short.
Re the weight. You look like a pretty young guy. That's really in your favor. I know you didn't ask but I'm going to go through this anyway. If you're really dedicated to losing weight you can start dropping almost immediately. Reform your diet and only eat lean proteins, lowfat dairy, fresh fruit and veggies, and as necessary, whole grains. Keep away from white sugar, white rice (brown is good for you), potatoes (sweet are ok), white flour, and white pasta. Then make sure you exercise every day. 4 days a week of cardio at a minimum. The couch to 5 k program on cool runnings has a great beginner workout. Then get in your weights to build up your muscle mass. The increased muscle will ramp up your metabolism and you'll start burning off the weight. If you can't get access to a gym, push your pushups, situps, chin ups, tricep dips. And then use empty milk jugs filled with water to do your arm exercises.
If you're rigid to this you should be able to see the scale move within 2 weeks. You should be able to see a difference within a month. You won't be skinny but you'll be on your way.

As people get older, the hair become more limp and full. The shortness of the hair makes it easier to manage, and keeps it from looking too thin and limp.
Because it is harder for them to take care of it.

They buy into the fact that as you get older you cannot wear your hair long which is so not true!!. Personally speaking I am 49 and would NEVER have short hair. You have to be age appropriate in your hairstyle otherwise you look ridiculous...like you are trying to be 20 not 50!!!

When I was a teenager my hair was really long but in college I started cutting it a bit shorter. Right now, at 29 years old, if my hair is touching my shoulders, it's too long. I usually wear my hair in a layered bob. Longer hair is harder to take care of and can be unruly. Unless you can keep it very neat, long hair gives the appearance of the person being unprofessional and unkempt. Shorter hair looks more polished and makes it appear that you spend time on the upkeep that goes along with keeping it shorter. I am on break at work and I took a look around my immediate office and no woman has hair longer than their shoulders. We are all between out late 20's to early 30's and in sales so our image is an important asset to our careers.
Supposedly, the shorter cuts make them look younger. But I tend to disagree. For the older women, they may have trouble keeping their orms up over their head in order to fuss over their hair. It would be unfair to assume that they don't want to care for long tresses. And it would be unfair to assume that they would capable of working on their hair for the amount of time it takes someone younger to do their hair.
I have MS and Fibromyalgia AND 41. It is very difficult and painfull to have my arms up over my head to fuss with my hair. But my hair stretches down to my bottom. So don't be fooled by stereotyping older people with shorter hair.

Honestly, the biggest turn on is when a guy is confident. It doesn't matter the hair so much if you're not confident so to give you my honest opinion you have to answer this question first. Which hair style would make you the most confident, short or long hair? If you feel that long hair will make you more confident about how you look, then you've got your answer because we women like confident men.

I think you would look good in long hair, I think mid length is best on curly hair, and short with straight.

It all depends on the person really. Some people look great with short hair, then there are some people who do not. The only way to find out if short hair suits you is to give it go. It doesn't matter if it doesn't work out as your hair will eventually grow back.

You have to have the right face shape to to this style. Round faces won't work because this style will make you look fat. Narrow faces are not good either. Oval or almond shaped faces work well with the VB.
Over all this is a modern take on the classic bob. it is stylish and light and easy to take care of. It was trendy, but now everyone is doing it. Few people can really "do" it. though.

If you have the money try and get one of those computer programs where you take a photo of yourself, load it on the computer and with the program try on many different hair styles! Then you'll get an idea of what you will look like before you cut it!

A low ponytail would leave it longer and more hair to work with, a high ponytail would cut of A LOT on top of your head and leave you with a bald spot.

Currently:
My hair is... wavy, shorter it gets the more waves/curls. Thick. Past shoulders, upper back. Gets poofy a LOT.
My face is ovalish shaped.
I don't really want anything that requires much maintenance. (Gels, and constant cutting ect ect.)
I like to put my hair into a pony tail. (Mostly because my hair poofs everytime I go outside.)
I want to get it cut to shoulder length, and thinned. But should I get layers or not?

Without layers you don't want to look like you are still living in the 70's
with if short, without if long
I like layers ...you can do so much with your hair with layers ....

long layers with the shortest being able to be pulled back to fit into the ponytail you like to wear.Long layers is best for your type of hair.good luck
yes i have the same kind of hair and i got layers and it looks so much better! and also maybe add some front bangs!they look good with wavy hair
Get it thinned and have long layers so you can still wear it up.
If you hate it, don't worry it'll grow out in a few months. And you can try the other style.

if you straighten your hair sometimes, no layers is the way to go. layers can be a real pain when you put it into a ponytail and it looks sort of uneven. hope i helped!

Right now I have about below the shoulder hair. It is some what straight. I can get a little wave if I crunch it while it drys. My hair is not thin nor thick. It holds curls if I stlye it. Right now I am in the process of growing it out. I want it to about a little above my elbows. But I am getting lazy and whant to cut like my avatar, but just a little longer so I can put it in ap pony tail. I play tennis very seriously so it can't get in the way. Should I cut it? Will long hair make me look unpolished? Which is easier? I live in Michigan so it is dry in the winter and so humid in the summer. Awesome! Thanks so much anyone that answers!
my hair is kinda like yours right now too..i just got layers.i live in FL the weather out here is krazy*its like i have my hair up more then down. i really like doing cute things to my hair and being different. but its just hair.if you feel like it would be better for you to cut it right now, (just for a little bit) it will always grow back. you should check out that site,they always have kool new ways for hairstlyles,GooD LucK in the choice you make !

my hair was long, about to the middle of my back. and i recently got it cut short, just a little above my shoulders, in a razor cut. it has fun choppy layers everywhere. it is sooo easy to take care of and even easier to fix. i shower, blow dry, and run a straightening iron through it. it's super cute and it still goes in a ponytail, some falls in front but not enough to get in the way of your face...it's just hair it will grow back!!
Keep it long. I just got mine cut and deeply regret it. I also thought it would help with sports but when it is short it's hard to pull back,and you cannot braid it or anything, therefore the only option is a librarian bun. Keep it long.

Personally, I think that you should continue to grow it out. I made the mistake in October of getting an angled bob...While it looked cute, there was nothing I could do with it. I live in Rhode Island and have similar weather. And to me, in the summer it is easier to have long hair because I have a natural wave. If I do not scrunch it my hair will just be frizzy. The shorter my hair is, the stupider it looks curly. I just think that hair is really nice with some length. I think in some ways you could be sorry if you cut it shorter. I was also in your situation where I wanted to grow my hair longer and then I just ended up cutting it short...I was kinda upset at first after the hairdresser was done with me...I was like "what did I just do?!" My suggestion to you is if you want something different, get highlights and do funky colors. I decided that once the fall comes, I am going to keep my blonde highlights but I am going to add eggplant in (basically purple). I am in Cosmetology School right now. This has always been my dream...But my hair is past my shoulders now, so it will be easier for me in the summer...I think there are advantages and disadvantages to short and long hair alike. Just try and grow it out a little...The thing is with long hair you can put it up, down and wear it all kinds of ways....Short is repetitious...But its cute..but you may be bored of that as well.

u should have a long one because the long you can do any hair style on it whatever it was and also you can keep your short hair if you look good in it because you may not be beauty in the long one so the better is the long hair i think....... but this depend on your style you know if you was short your hair should be long to give you more stylish and to be beauty because people just care about the look only specially for girls more than boys.....
