Can I cut off my fly aways? (short hairs on top of head)?

When I part my hair anywhere these fly aways just stick up and it's terribly frustrating. They're like an inch or more longer and annoying. makes me want to die.

Can I just cut these Off?

If I cut really close to the scalp.

NOOO!!!!!!!!!! If u do that they are going to grow back in and u will have really awkward little hairs sticking up! u should try Paul Mitchell Quick slip styling creme, and Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum. This will smoot and faltten the flyaways. If u style ur hair, do this be4 u style it! Hope this helped!!

Don't cut - they'll be spiky and just come back right away. Look into why your hair is breaking off so short. Are you conditioning it enough? Don't tease or rough up your hair, and if you're heat styling it, than you need to use protective products on it. Let them grow and use a gloss to slick them down a little bit.

Don't cut them off, that is not a long term solution. They'll just grow back. Give them time to heal and grow out, be gentle while combing the hair. Use a comb and only comb while hair is dry. Use a once a week deep conditioner. With patience they will be gone. Try not to heat style so much because it will create more flyaways.

You could but it would be kinda risky/tricky, try using a new shampoo and conditioner that is meant for flyaways. I had this problem, but I mixed John Frieda Brilliant Brunette (you could use whatever color you have though) with Pantene Repairing Shampoo and COnditioner and my hair has been great ever since!

Oh don't cut them off. you'll regret it. it'll look worse. go to a store and buy moose. herbal escenses is stiff and it will hold down your fly aways for sure. (same problEM)

I wouldn't do that if I were you, it just might make it worse. Just try using some product in your hair. Just a little, not too much. Something like a pomade or hair wax. Just put a little in your hands and rub it in your hands for a second or two, then smooth it in your hair where the fly aways are. That should do the trick. Good luck and hope this helps.
