Ok my brother has curly/wavy hair and is planning to cut it short, Now last time he cut his hair, this is de weird thing that happened. He has thick hair and the hair which was i'd say 2-3cm is not tht curly but it curls in a direction,so when he combs it back it goes out straight, but if he tries to comb it sideways almost how gurls do it he splits out and looks realli wavy curly,(which i discourage to him) so my questions is what do you call this type of hair or texture, and if my brother grow his hair a BIT longer say 1-1.5 inches longer combing it back always would his hair get used to that pattern and go well being wavy.straight to the back without sticking out or getting fuzzed up or out of pattern/order??? THNX !!!!!

Well I'm assuming he might look like Terrance Howard "the actor from Crash" when he combs it back. I think thats hot....He should try to maintain his naturla thick and curly hair texture..which is very hott...
So, here is how you do it...You have to train the hair...and the hair only can be tamed when it is very short. So he will have to get a low cut...Now once it is shorter, he can brush it foward in the front, brush the sides down and the back...back...hehe
As the hair grows, it will grow in the direction that it is brushed...he should also get a du-rag or wave cap to keep the hair in place at night...and using some wave promoting pomade will help the style also ;0)...
